My Partners in Crime

 Hello everyone.

Wow, it's crazy, another week went by. Well where to get started? I found out my X-rays look good so no surgery. Yay. Last Monday couldn't do a whole lot besides play Cover Your Assets. So that was just a blast of a pday. But that night we had dinner with the Stake president and his family so that was good. Then on Tuesday we just focused on finding. We did find two people so that was exciting.
Ok now we're on to Wednesday. So we had our district meeting in the morning which I had to leave early to go to the hospital again to see an orthopedic surgeon. Then we went to China town and got some fire lunch. Then we went and visited some members. Thursday was an intense day. It was freezing and pouring all day. But that didn't stop us from knocking doors. We also had a couple of lessons that went super well.
On Friday we had zone conference! It was a super great one. A common theme was building comp unity. And then we had a testimony meeting which was super amazing. Then Saturday was just crazy. We started the day with English class, and then just had visits the rest of the day. We had great lessons, member visits, and a little time to door knock. Then Sunday, it wasn't the best of days. It started with my parents calling letting me know that our dog and my brother's dog passed away unexpectedly the same night. They were my partners in crime. They were my best buds and they'll be greatly missed.
And then today is p-day. It's a zone p-day which means volleyball that I can't play. I'm just so excited about that (he said sarcastically).
A little message is from Elder Uchtdorf's talk this last general conference: "A parent’s love for a child is one of the strongest forces in the universe. It’s one of the few things on this earth that can truly be eternal." Lucky for me I have the two greatest parents out there. They celebrated with me, cried with me, and are there for me always. Parents have such a huge impact on how their kids turn out. And thank goodness they do.
Time to wrap up this email. I love you all and hope you can have a great week!

Broken Collarbone

 Happy Monday everyone!

My week this week was pretty good besides the part where I broke my collarbone! I broke it at 10pm and had to go to the emergency room until 1am. So yeah that was a bummer. We'll find out if I have to get surgery hopefully sometime this week.
On a brighter note, we had a lot of lessons this week which was so good. We got to do service for our friend Darryl again. We just finished up his tile job in his kitchen. It was pretty fun. Also this week, we had a service for a family in our ward. They have ALOT of stuff in their house and just needed help cleaning and moving stuff. I actually enjoyed it. Any type of service is good and fun.
Also, we had exchanges again this week. I went to Firle with Elder Oliphant. It was super great. To start, we found a blue tongue lizard in the backyard. Then we filmed a video with some sisters for Facebook. Then we checked in on some of their friends, door knocked a little and then had a super baller lesson. The lesson was with a family they're teaching and they're just so awesome. We taught the law of chastity so yayyyy. They had great questions from their personal reading and other stuff. Then at the end we asked if they needed anything and their aunt, who was just visiting and never taught, asked for a blessing. I was able to do that and what a special experience. She's going to start to get taught the lessons.
Sorry for a short email, it's not super fun writing one while being broken. A little spiritual thought comes from the story where the woman had a blood problem and touched a thread of the Saviors robe and was healed. He said he didn't heal her but her faith. Something so simple made the largest difference. Is incredible to think of the little things we've done in life and the huge roll and impact they left. Continue to do the small things in faith. And see the miracles come in.
I love you all! Have a super great week. Thanks for all the support. Talk to y'all next week.

Wazzup

 Aloha my dudes,

How was your week? Mine was one of the most excellent, ha not. Just kidding it was actually pretty decent not gonna lie. So on Monday for P-day me and my son Elder Son went to lunch with Elder and Sister Carr. So Elder Carr served his mission in Korea and wanted to take us to a Korean place for lunch. It was super good and such a fun experience. After that we went to the city and met up with the other Elders and went shopping. I got a sick sweatshirt. And yeah then we went back to the chapel, played some pickle ball and then we went to a members house for dinner. Getting picked up in a Tesla and going to the hills hits different. Such a great time.
Then on Wednesday we had the chance to go to the temple!!! Woohoo #blessed. It was raining so hard that day so luckily we got a ride from some senior couples. But seriously the temple is the place to be. All the world is just gone for a period of time and you can just relax. Super nice. So yeah that was good. Then later in the week we went on exchanges...
So with the exchanges, Elder Bushell came here in Morialta. Honestly it was such a great exchange. We had lunch with our Bishop and his family. They gave us a class on how to learn an Australian accent. That was our homework. After that we went and did some service for our friend Darryl. That was probably one of my favorite services. We put up tiles in his kitchen. It was super fun, and now I can start my own tile business. Then he showed us his shed and dang he has a lot of toys. So many power machines, like so many. My guy had three working welders alone and all this other stuff. We're trying to get permission so we can go make rings there sometime. He told us we can come over and use the machines whenever we want. Too bad it's against the rules. After the service we went door knocking and found two new people. So the exchange was super beast.
Besides all that, we had some great lessons this week and have some good ones coming up. It was pretty solid week and a lot of fun. OH ALSO, we have a member we visit in this care place and they told us he was a little off and he almost punched me. The same care place where a Russian lady tried slapping my butt. Oh what memories.
A little message comes from my brain. On the mission we have a lot of good and bad days. Funny how no one talks about having bad days on the mission but I can tell you they are real. But it's nice, because when you have good days and your little miracles, they're so much better and more recognizable. Think of a so called bad moment in your life, then think of the good that followed. It it's sneaking out (which I never did mind you), sneaking on to a golf course, or getting in fights with family. Each not so great moment can have such a great side if we let it. So I guess what I'm trying to say is focus on the good even in the bad moments. If you focus on the pebble in your shoe, you'll never enjoy the journey.
Well I love you all! I seriously have the best support possible. Have a wonderful week. Keep in touch!

Ahh!... Didn't see you there

 Well hello everyone!!!

How was y'alls week? Good? I sure hope so. How was mine? Super fantastic!!! So you know last week we had a friend who just googled a church near him and showed up? Well we had four lessons with him last week and now he's on date for baptism! Woohoo!!! That will be in about three weeks if all goes to plan. Super stoked about that.
Other stuff that happened this week was we had so many lessons which is a good change haha. These last couple of weeks have been busy busy. Our lessons have been going really good. We have two friends on date and another one we're planning on putting on date. We had a lesson every day this week I believe, which is pretty exciting. It was a super beast week for teaching.
One of the goals we have set with our mission president is to have ten visits with members a week. It honestly has helped the work so much. The members of our ward are super amazing and so willing to help. With this, we also do less active visits. And one member we've been working with came to church on Sunday and even bore his Testimony during sacrament. It surprised us haha. It was so great though. I love our ward, it's seriously the best ward.
Fun things that happened: we had zone pday last week. So lots of pickleball and volleyball. That's always fun. We went to a Korean market and got some stuff to try. Some of it was good, other stuff wasn't so good. We got ice cream at this super good place. We decided to make a tradition when we see one of the members every Friday, we'll stop at this ice cream place. And on top of that, the work has just been fun. I've been loving it.
Little spiritual message is from Alma 14: 8-13. This is the saddest chapter in the Book of Mormon but also my favorite. It's when Alma and Amulek have to watch the women and children be thrown into the fire. Amulek asks Alma if they could stop it but Alma told him that the Lord is receiving them. Then Amulek asks if they'll die and Alma says if it's the will of the Lord then so be it. Holy dang, what faith. Alma has his eyes on the Lord every second during this moment. All his faith and trust is in the Lord. Such a great story.
Well I hope you all have a such amazing week. I'd love to hear from you all. Love ya!
